Mr. Paxton is a principal analyst in In-Stat's Digital Entertainment Group. He contributes research to In-Stat's Multimedia Entertainment Equipment Service, Consumer & Media Content Service, Multimedia Broadband Service, and Multimedia Broadband Infrastructure Service. Mr. Paxton's specific areas of interest include broadband communications technology, HD video services, the cable TV industry, and digital consumer electronics products. His area of coverage extends from the chipset to the end-use product. Mr. Paxton is widely recognized as a market expert in the field of multimedia technologies. He has been quoted in numerous business and trade publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, The New York Times, Money Magazine, EE Times, and BusinessWeek, and has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, and CNBC to discuss the telecommunications and technology industries. He has also contributed articles that were published in Electronic News, Electronic Business Asia, Communications Engineering & Design, and TWICE magazine. Prior to joining In-Stat in 1997, Mr. Paxton served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army. He received a BA in International Studies from Miami University and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.
