Ms. Putscher is Principal Analyst for In-Stat's Consumer/Converging Markets & Technologies Research Group, and is responsible for the Residential Connectivity service covering home networking and digital home markets. Ms. Putscher also contributes as Principal Analyst for 802.15.4 and ZigBee, and home automation, and was renowned from 1999 through 2005 in the Bluetooth arena. Joyce has been a speaker at many conferences.

Ms. Putscher has contributed industry commentary to many technical and business publications including USA Today, New York Times, Forbes, TWICE, Wireless Week, Information Week, Red Herring, EETimes, Electronic Buyers' News, EDN, Electronic News, Design News, Electronics Business Asia, Purchasing Magazine, Computer Design, and others. She has also authored articles in TWICE, Wireless Week, Electronic Buyers' News, and Electronic News.

In previous positions at In-Stat, she has covered wireless communications technology, Micro Logic (microprocessors, microcontrollers and DSPs), and User-Programmable Logic. Ms. Putscher has over 20 years of experience in the electronics industry in marketing and engineering. Before coming to In-Stat, she was a Project Leader/Manufacturing Engineer leading R&D, prototype, and production projects for the Communications Division of Motorola's Government Electronics Group. While in this capacity, she marketed RF and digital custom hybrid microelectronic devices bound for communications systems. She also held positions at Honeywell IAC. Putscher graduated summa cum laude from the University of Phoenix and Phoenix College with degrees in business and electronics engineering technology.
