John Van Scoter

| A 17-year TI veteran, Van Scoter spent the first five years of
his career as Technical Sales Engineer supporting major TI accounts
in Boston. For the next three years, Van Scoter worked as a Product
Engineer in Japan, ultimately having responsibility for the Miho5
Wafer Fabrication facility as Deputy Fab manager. Before assuming
leadership of the Raster Image Processing Business unit in 1997, Van
Scoter served as Manager of TI's Worldwide ASIC Product Development
& Engineering for six years. In 1999, as Vice-President and General
Manager John was given the charter to create leadership DSP solutions
tailored for the Internet Audio, Color Printing and other emerging
end equipment markets. He assumed his current role as leader of the
DLP Products division in November 2000.
Van Scoter graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor
of Science in Engineering ('83). He is married with two children
and enjoys skiing, biking and sailing.
