About the Technology
Adoption Panel
A key component of In-Stat's market intelligence is end-user data. We interview thousands of business end-users of technology each year. Typically, the chief means of gathering this information has been structured telephone interviews. However, we understand that business executives are often unwilling or unable to take time out of their demanding workday to participate in telephone surveys. Therefore, In-Stat often conducts Internet-based surveys. These surveys are typically shorter than telephone surveys, and respondents have the option of taking them when it is convenient for them. This type of research is a powerful tool, especially when there is a group of representative business technology users who can be surveyed over time. Surveying such a group on a regular basis provides the ability to identify and map trends. To take advantage of this powerful research medium, In-Stat created the Technology Adoption Panel (TAP).
The TAP™ is a dynamic, online panel of nearly 15,000 technology
users and decision-makers interested in contributing their
opinions and insights about technology usage and technology
issues in the workplace. The panel is comprised of a diverse
group of people who represent a wide range of company sizes,
industries, and areas of expertise. The diversity of the panel
allows us to gather information on a variety of topics from
many different perspectives.
The primary benefit of the Technology Adoption Panel™ is the
ability to gain fast feedback on various topics, including
new technologies, products and user buying habits. Additionally,
customers have the ability to influence the topics and the
actual questions that are posed to the panels. Other features
include:
- Deliverables in the form of charts, analysis,
and the actual data collected
- Results are posted quickly
- Customers have any time, on-line access
to all past survey results
- Information is easily copied into client
presentations or business plans
- Customers can submit public or proprietary
questions to the panel
