Abstract
MultiService WAN switch sales continued to increase this quarter, providing further evidence that the market is gradually recovering. Total worldwide MultiService WAN switch manufacturer sales revenues in 4Q 03 were $580 million. This was an increase of 11% from the previous quarter, but sales still were down 7% from 4Q 02. About 81% of the sales were for ATM/IP/MPLS-related equipment, and 19% of the sales were for Frame Relay.
 
 This report includes detailed equipment vendor market shares for MultiService WAN switches sold to service providers and enterprises, as well as a rolling three-quarter forecast of the market.
