Abstract
IT Departments currently find themselves having to do more and more. LAN and WAN continue to grow in complexity, as these networks are expected to connect an increasing number of end-user devices and sites. Also these networks are supporting more applications than ever. Further complicating their situation is the trend of merging voice and data. That is why more businesses are looking to use outsourced IT and hosting services.

This report contains the results of a survey of over 470 US businesses on their IT needs and plans to outsource. This report also contains five-year forecasts for businesses spending on outsourced services, the number of businesses using outsourced services, and the average annual spending by business size segment on those services.
