Abstract
Residential Wi-Fi networks have trifurcated into three separate, but interoperable, networks: the data-centric Wi-Fi computing network, the multimedia-centric Wi-Fi entertainment network and the voice-over-IP-centric Wi-Fi communications network. This residential wireless LAN (WLAN) market report forecasts client devices for all three network types, as well as the infrastructure to support these clients. It includes vendor residential wireless LAN (WLAN) market shares for Wi-Fi aggregators (access points, routers and gateways) and Wi-Fi adapters. Residential wireless LAN (WLAN) forecasts are segmented by Wi-Fi standard (a, b, g or combo).
