| Share of Wallet?: Telecom Trends and Expenditures
in the US Business Market, Part Four: SOHO Businesses (1 to 4 Employees) |
 |
This report provides detailed market forecasts for
telecom spending in the SOHO business market, as well as the result of a telecom-specific
study completed in July of this year. Data on telcom priorities and investments,
current and preferred telecom providers, and decision-makers’ opinions on VoIP/IP
issues is included. Research on the indirect channels (outside of service providers)
that businesses use to purchase data services is also presented.
Slowly emerging from an economic downturn-driven spending slump, the SOHO
business market is expected to show dramatic telecom expenditure growth over the
next five years. Several trends are believed to be contributing to this market’s
powerful spending growth: an increase in the size of the market (number of businesses
and employees); increasing use of new telecom products/services – namely wireless
and broadband; an improved economic environment; regulatory changes; and increasing
competitive pressure in several industries. |
