| Share of Wallet?: Telecom Trends and
Expenditures in the US Financial Services Industry |
 |
This report takes a deep dive look into
the financial service vertical, specifically as it relates to the
trends and expenditures in telecom services and equipment. Both wireline
and wireless voice and data services, as well as equipment are icluded
in this study. Survey data on specific areas such as IP perceptions,
critical business problems, investment priorities, and purchasing
channels are also provided in this report.
Financial services firms are continuously seeking out new ways
to lower transaction costs and are also striving for differentiation
via software and financial-specific software solutions. Differentiation
in the financial services vertical is critical as competition remains
high and mega-financial institutions continue to emerge due to the
consolidation that is occurring in the market. With all of this, the
finance vertical is well poised for more wireline and wireless spending,
especially as it relates to higher bandwidth, secure and redundant
networks, robust application networks, and streamlining business processes
that are, at many times, costly and paper-intensive. |
