| Share of Wallet?: Telecom Trends and
Expenditures in the US Insurance Industry |
 |
This report takes a deep dive look into
the telecom trends and expenditures in the Insurance industry. Both
wireline and wireless voice and data services are included, as well
as wireline and wireless equipment. Spending forecasts are presented
for 2003 thru 2008. Other survey data includes perceptions on IP,
priorities in investments, and purchasing channels for wireless and
wireline data.
The insurance industry is an upcoming growth vertical for many
in the telecom and IT industry. The insurance industry is unique in
that it works very closely with some of the largest verticals such
as healthcare, government, transportation, and, of course, finance.
Many in the telecom industry are branching insurance out of their
finance vertical focus, and are identifying this as a core growth
vertical, especially in terms of future telecom and IT spending.
